Hey folks, actually probably just me who will be making up the 1000 views of this new Blog. Ah well, what can I do to make folks read about a 40 yr old who still plays with toys, video games, and reads comics??
Well, still plugging away at the KF-ick, not the greatest job in the world, but it is money. I just wish we could all get along, having only 5-6 workers and a small place to work. You have to have some unity or it is a hate on all around.
Still running Call of Cthulhu on Thursday night, enjoying it, though we are all goof offs and the horror part is far and in-between. Not so much "Mountains of Madness" more like " Abbott and Costello meet The Mummy". Though throwing in a few freak outs is kinda cool.
Still plugging away on the PS3 and "Burnout:Paradise" normally I hate racing games short of Mario Kart and Burnout. Burnout is a great game even for the non-racing fans, I am though looking for that one great RPG out there, I want to see or play something like Knights of the Old Republic or Final Fantasy VII (probably the best JRPG ever IMO)
Also, Branwen is almost done her 2nd year of school. I can not believe Bran will be in grade 3 already. Also Kelly and I will be celebrating tow years of marriage on the 7th of August. Wow, was impressed by our 20+ years of boyfriend/girlfriend shenanigans, but we are motoring along with the marriage thang now.
Had a great time volunteering for FCBD with Cal and Strange Adventures, amazing crowds and swag this year. Always love hanging with the SA crowd, and seeing all the comic geeks come out and get some sweet comics. It is as close as I can get working for a comic store, which is one of my "Jobs I'd love to have" right with " Video Store clerk, and Toy Store worker" ( which I did with Sears in '97 and '04 ( just before Branwen was born)
Oh yeah, I will admit I am a big fan of "John Carter", yeah it flopped, but I think it could go cult with the DVD/BRD sales. I mean this was true sci fi, no real fact, just four armed giants ( only real complaint, I thought the Tharks were massive, meh.)
This has been the first of many Blogs coming from me.
Vieth in the Night.
